WORK FURLOUGH PROGRAM:
The Work
Furlough Program allows sentenced inmates to continue working
their jobs outside the Jail in public or private employment for
a regular wage. To be eligible for the program, you must be
responsible. Items considered to measure responsibility are:
past work history, duration of job, regularity of attendance at
work and total criminal record.
You must work
in Yuba County or Sutter County unless there is a reciprocal
agreement between Yuba County and the County where your job is
located. However, in certain jobs such as construction, where it
is normal job requirement to move from job site to job site in
various counties, this requirement may be waived. You will not
be allowed to drive a vehicle while on the program unless it is
a job requirement and you must make your own arrangements for
transportation to and from work. Acceptance on the program is at
the discretion of the Work Furlough Coordinator, the Jail
Supervisor or the Jail Commander. The Work Furlough Coordinator
may revoke the privileges of work furlough release at any time.
Applicants and additional rules may be received by asking any
jail deputy. An applicant denied Work Furlough will be informed
in writing the reasons for such denial. |
