Yuba County Sheriff’s investigators released the names of two suspects in their ongoing homicide investigation Thursday, according to Sheriff Steve Durfor.
Arrest warrants have been issued by Yuba County charging Saul Marroquin and Nicolaus Solano with three counts of homicide each. Marroquin, who is from the Merced area, and Solano, a Yuba-Sutter resident, have been identified by forensic evidence and witness statements as being responsible for the March 13 shootings.
Yuba County detectives are continuing to work with investigators from outside the area to locate the two men. Search warrants have been served in the local area and Merced, resulting in the recovery of additional items of evidence.
Saul Marroquin, AKA Saul Pimentel, is described as a 26 year old Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. Saul is 5’5” tall and weighs about 135 lbs. Nicolaus Solano is a 28 year old Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5’6” tall and weighs approximately 150 lbs. He is known as “Nico”, and has also used the alias Jose Garcia Romero. The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department asks anyone who has information on the homicides or the whereabouts of these two individuals to call 530-749-7777. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.
