At 1025 hours, on May 11, 2013, Kham Keovilaphone called 911 and advised his 23 year old daughter, was in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend, who was identified as Ernesto Arteaga, 27, of Olivehurst. Kham reported Ernesto had a gun and pointed it at him, according to Sheriff Steve Durfor. Deputies arrived on the scene on Country Club Ct., in Linda and immediately observed Arteaga walking in the parking lot of 1958 Country Club Ct. Arteaga was detained without incident. No gun was located on his person.
A search of the area was conducted in an attempt to locate the gun. Deputies suspected that a resident at the apartment complex where Arteaga was detained may be an associate of Arteaga’s. They went to the home of Stephen Gama Jr. where they were able to conduct a search. During the search a stolen loaded 41 cal revolver was found under a mattress. Ultimately, Arteaga was arrested and booked for violation assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, ex-felon in possession of a firearm and an additional weapons charge, his bail is $150,000.00; Stephen Gama Jr, was arrested and booked for violation of receiving stolen property and a gang enhancement, his bail was set at $11,000; and Gama’s father, Stephen Gama Sr. who also lives at the Country Club Ct. apartment, was arrested and booked for violation of probation, possession of drug paraphernalia and an additional weapons charge, he is being held without bail.
