Yuba County's Most Wanted
Please contact the Yuba County Sheriff's Investigative Unit (530) 749-7777 with any information regarding the following suspects:
The victim, a 47-year-old woman, left her home in Oregon House at about 5 AM Monday and was driving down Marysville Road when her car broke down between Road 270 and Frenchtown Road. A man pulled over in a pickup truck and agreed to give her a ride to the Oregon House Store. The man drove her past the store and struck the woman in the face and torso with a blunt object while driving. He then pulled over, and the two struggled briefly before the woman fought off her attacker and was able to escape. She ran to a nearby home for help, where residents called the Yuba County Sheriff's Department. The woman was treated for her injuries at Rideout Hospital and later released.
The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male in his mid to late 30's, with brown hair and a full neatly groomed beard. He was driving a dark-colored extra cab pickup truck. He may have injuries to his hands and face as a result of the struggle. Anyone with information is asked to call the Yuba County Sheriff's Department Investigation Unit.
